Privacy policy
Last updated: 8 July 2026 (draft)
1. Who we are and what this covers
This policy explains how Horizons ("we", "us") handles personal data collected through horizons.golf. It applies to visitors browsing the site and to anyone who sends an enquiry or viewing request. [Legal entity and data-controller details to be inserted.]
2. Information we collect
- Enquiry and viewing-request details — your name, email address, phone number (optional), the property you are interested in, your buy/rent interest, preferred language and anything you write in your message.
- Usage data — pages viewed, searches made, device and browser information, and approximate location inferred from your IP address.
- Preferences — language and currency choices.
We do not knowingly collect data from children, and the site offers no user accounts at present.
3. How we use your information
- to respond to your enquiry and connect you with the owner or partner responsible for a listing;
- to operate, secure and improve the site;
- to understand which properties, courses and regions interest buyers; and
- to send you property alerts or updates you have asked for.
We do not sell personal data.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on: contract (handling the enquiry you asked us to handle), legitimate interests (operating and improving the platform), and consent (optional communications such as listing alerts — withdrawable at any time).
5. Who we share it with
- the property owner or partner your enquiry concerns, so they can respond;
- service providers who host the site, store data and deliver email on our behalf; and
- authorities, where the law requires it.
6. International transfers
Horizons operates from Thailand with infrastructure in Singapore, and listings attract buyers internationally — so your data may be processed outside your home country. Where required, we use recognised safeguards for such transfers. [Specific transfer mechanisms to be confirmed with counsel.]
7. How long we keep it
Enquiry records are kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted or anonymised. Usage data is retained in aggregate form. [Specific retention periods to be confirmed.]
8. Your rights
Thailand — PDPA
Under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019), you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict its processing, withdraw consent, and complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC).
EEA and UK — GDPR
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, the right to withdraw consent, and the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
South Korea — PIPA
Under the Personal Information Protection Act, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, request suspension of its processing, and complain to the Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC).
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We respond within the timeframe the applicable law requires.
9. Cookies and analytics
The site uses essential cookies needed for it to function (such as security tokens) and may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used. [Analytics tooling not yet chosen — update this section when it is.]
10. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform grows. The date at the top shows the latest revision; material changes will be flagged on the site.
12. Contact and complaints
Privacy questions, requests and complaints: [email protected]. [Data Protection Officer appointment to be confirmed with counsel.]
